Honeymoons are one of the best ways to celebrate a wedding. Whether you’re newly married or have been together for years, a honeymoon is a special time to relax and enjoy each other’s company. Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica is the perfect place to go on your honeymoon. There's plenty to do and see, and the scenery is simply breathtaking. From swimming with dolphins to hiking through the rainforest, there are plenty of activities to choose from.
#1. Make Sure You Have A Passport!
There are a few things that make a honeymoon memorable: the destination, the activities you do, the accommodations you stay in, and the people you travel with. So, the first thing you need to do is make sure you have a passport. If you are traveling to Costa Rica, there are lots of things that make it a great destination for a honeymoon.
Costa Rica has lots of beautiful beaches, it is a great place to explore nature and it has lots of amazing hotels and resorts to stay in. The people of Costa Rica are friendly and they are happy to help you out with anything that you need. Now, I am not saying that it is easy to plan a honeymoon in Costa Rica, but the country has lots of things to offer and the people are warm and welcoming.
#2. Book Your Flight!
Airfare can be quite expensive when planning a honeymoon and if you are going somewhere remote like Costa Rica or Mexico, it can be even more expensive. That is why it is important to book your flight as soon as possible. In Costa Rica, flights can become very expensive during high season so as soon as you know that you want to go, book your flight as soon as possible.
#3. Rent An Oceanfront Villa!
I am a firm believer in renting an oceanfront villa if you can. Not only does it make for one of the best honeymoon experiences but it can also save you some money. A lot of people go on a honeymoon and stay in a hotel or resort. In most cases, this can be an expensive option because they have all the amenities that you would expect from a resort but they still charge more than if you were to stay in an oceanfront villa. So, if you can afford it, rent an oceanfront villa instead of staying in a hotel or resort.
#4. Book Your Ground Transportation!
This might seem like an odd thing to write about but ground transportation is important when planning a honeymoon. You need to get from one place to another and often times it is hard to get around when you are on vacation. You need to get from your hotel or resort to your activities and attractions and sometimes this can be difficult when you are in an unfamiliar place.
When planning your honeymoon, make sure that you have your ground transportation planned out early on in your trip so that you know where to go and what transportation will be available. This will help save you time later on in your trip so that you don’t have to spend extra time looking for transportation later on in your vacation.
#5. Plan A Few Excursions!
Planning for an excursion can be a bit tricky when planning a honeymoon because not everyone wants the same thing when they go on vacation. That is why it is important to know what kind of excursions you want before booking them. If you want to go snorkeling or swimming through clear blue waters then I would book those excursions early on because they may not be available later on in your trip. If you want to do something like mountain biking or hiking then those excursions may not be available when you visit Manuel Antonio National Park so make sure that they are on your list of things to do when planning your excursion list so that you don’t forget about them later on in your trip.
#6. Document Your Journey!
Make sure that you have a camera with you when you are planning your honeymoon and take as many pictures as you can. Not only will this be a fun way to remember your journey but it will also help you to document any problems that may arise during your trip. If something goes wrong, having photos and videos of the problem will make it much easier for you to deal with it. Planning a honeymoon can be fun and enjoyable but it is important to remember some of the basics if you want to save money on your trip. By following these tips, you will be able to have an amazing honeymoon without breaking the bank.
As I said before, planning for your honeymoon is important and it can be a lot easier if you do it early on in your trip. By following these simple tips, you will be able to have a great honeymoon that is perfect for you.
